This fits my SPT SU-4010 Ultrasonic Dual-Mist Warm/Cool Humidifier with Ion Chat Filteras it supposed to, but lasts for only a link weeks. Possibly this is all that is to be probable with Chicago fill up, but I'm constantly cleaning cream and deposits from the inside of the humidifier base and mist path, now and again only a week with replacing with a new filter... However, I don't know of any alternative in terms of an ion chat filter replacement.

I have lived in Chicago for many being, then moved to Colorado 28 yrs. ago. Went from damp to ZERO damp. Lots of sinus and resp. harms from the irony. Ran humidifiers here but too much white dust if ultrasonic. I tried the distilled fill up which was splendid and cut down on the dust, but it was actually pricey even at $1/bottle if you are by it 4 era a day etc. So bought this filter and I can use tap fill up aptly from the sink and no white dust. GREAT!! Our fill up is so hard here, the humidifiers are put to the test. But I am fortunate with this. I also use persons tiny mineral balls you toss surrounded by the tank to keep the algae and mold from forming. Every morning, with running all night, I open all up, air dry it and let it sit open till night time for more damp. Then clean all once a week at least with antibacterial soap and weak improve.

I ordered this filter directly starting Amazon. The filter I expected is octagonal shaped, as shown above, but it replaced the round filter for my Sunpentown SU-4010 humidifier and works just fine.

Only mentioning with the intention of I uploaded a depiction showing the actual affect of the filter I expected, which differs from the affect publicized in the default manufactured goods persona. The filter is in fact round, which matches the affect of the original filter with the intention of came with this humidifier. I don't admit if the hexagonal filter currently publicized for this manufactured goods will fit in this unit, but I have my doubts considering the filter on this develop is calculated to fit surrounded by the reservoir and the opening in the reservoir is also round... but it seems the discrepancy force be propose if all others who purchased this filter also expected round filters.BTW, I gave it 4 of 5 stars single in check over of the fact with the intention of, although I feel the humidifier facility as I estimate it to, I feel it's ended-priced and I'd greatly very with the intention of the filter be redesigned to lower dissipate, perhaps by making the plastic casing reusable.

I purchased these replacement filters to help reduce the likelihood of sandstone white dust forming from our hard fill up. In view of the fact with the intention of we just just purchased the humidifier and it came equipped with an initial filter included, we have not had to use this replacement set. The recommendation is with the intention of these filters should be replaced each 6 months.

I bought this filter as a substitution for the first that came with the SU-4010. It facility as described. The affect for the first is around and this one is not. Even if, it does not block the installation at all in view of the fact that the base everywhere you glue is just so the same.
