This new one caught my eye and I went ahead and took a chance now that it is allergy time of year. I am truly glad I did! Much nicer then the previous model. Great clean design with smooth surgical course of action. In the great room or a bedroom cleans the air very well. With the contemporary choices on the promote you can't go wrong with this unit!

(They have an impressive 5 year warranty) That they did, and I had brand new units which promised to have these problems resolved. I've only had them for 2 weeks, but the whisper hum on one of them (the lowest fan setting) is already early to change to a louder higher pitched hum that is louder than my fridge. I've will update this review if these units start to cause problems.Loud. No matter what thing lower than the lowest setting will produce enough noise that you would not be comfortable sleeping in the same room as one of these - I suppose that's what happens when you use a tiny blower and run it hard. Crank it to setting 3 or 4 and getting a high pitched hum/howl that you'd only accept if the ambient air was so dirty you'd rather live with the sound than breathing in a plume of dust.
