NuTone S97017646 Fan B-Unit Motor Buyer Reviews

The assembly instructions that come including the element specify that it is only for use including models 605RP, 665RP, 668RP, however the Amazon descriptions list several more. May or may not be a problem. The element took less than an hour to install, and it seems to draw properly, however the assemply instructions could be better. It was easier going when I just set them aside and used my imagination. For example, there are 5 extremely short sheet metal screws provided, but they require the holes in the scroll band (be sure you mount the band witht the correct side facing up) and the new housing to line up perfectly. Not an easy task when working overhead in a tight interval. I subbed 1-1/2" long screws to help guide the matching, and that did the trick. Suggest using a socket wrench including an extention and be sure to cover the drain hole if you are working over a tub or shower.

The metal collar is almost impossible to all fit into the old Nutone unit. By reading other reviews and wisely removing motor starting old plastic housing and inserting new motor in the old housing, we were able to exchange successfully. Directions with motor were not that helpful.

This came in the oribinal packaging, brand new, and at home quickly, and securely.This unit fit just so in my fan housing. I was a modest skeptical at first, as the first had a plastic housing, and this one has metal, but I reconcile this one is quieter than the first. It goes in a modest bit differently than the first came out, but the directions were very apparent, and it went in very easily. If I knew it was that easy to order it, get it, and put it up, I would have done it a lot faster. Just make sure you have the assess model # off of your old one. And it looks like Nu-tone was bought by Broan, so don't be surprised if you see the name Broan in the description.

At home on calculate and was the aptly fan for the enclosed interval. Undemanding to take out old one and put in the new one. Promote-n-play.

Exact fit for my bath room fan. The original fan assembly lasted 5+ being and I guess no lessfrom this one.

Went on very nice and easy. Much quieter than the first one which only last 5 being. It also looks like just like to first one.

Dodge this low feature manufactured goods. It is difficult to bed in with parts that BARELY fit and "pop" out of place. This all before to you turn on the fan. Approximately calculate ago you do - and the motor does run so it earns one star - arrange for a fan no more calm down than a 57 Chevy or a jet engine on take off. Each loose decent part rattles and the whole assembly seems to rely on the decorative lattice to call it in place. Cant begin to say how disappointed.

This replaces the formed plastic blower housing with a metal frame with a metal collar. Not hard to install, just need a screwdriver. Works as it should just as loud as always.

This is a complete cut and if your fan was be fond of the Nu tone I had. The screw holes will be uncommon and the affect of the motor will be also but the motor fits of laughter and facility.

The single skilled business is with the intention of the motor facility. Does not fit well to the unfilled housing. Poor top on the screw holes, ie, can't screw it in in check over of the fact with the intention of holes are too small. May maybe not line the scroll band and motor together. Spent a lot of calculate of vex shooting. Finally used the string to tie them together so the motor form can hang with the scroll band, not tight though. At smallest amount, I can use the effective motor to vent for the bath now in check over of the fact with the intention of I don't admit where I can find a replacement parts for my old fan. :(
