I adopted two stray cats and was getting itchy, watered-down eyes and various allergy symptoms. I switched filter brands to the Filtrete 1500 Even more Allergen and the allergy symptoms stopped. The Filtrete picks up more all-purpose dust than the other filters. It also filtered made known more pollen during the spring season. I recommend this filter, above all if you have pets and are dealing with hair and dander.
