Expecting filters to be in their original box packaging (as pictured in the ad), keep for what at home appeared to be 4 filters taken from a larger package. It was an despondent-priced hold keep for still bothers me to hear a touch different than purchased. Buyer beware.

The actual Holmes air filter wasn't a bad price, but the HEPA and Carbon Filters are WAY expensive. There's absolutely NO reason why a couple sheets of carbon must be $14 or HEPA replacements $24 and up. A complete replacement of all 3 HEPAs and Carbon Filters will run you $200!A third party manufacturer wants to undercut these ridiculous OEM replacement prices. Replacing everything every 6 months like recommended is outrageously more expensive than the filter.That said, the Holmes HEPA filter does a great job of clearing out the air in a room. I suppose that comes with a STEEP price.

These are getting tough to find locally -- it used to be I could walk into Sears and walk out with a box, but now they're only attracted in selling me the more expensive "type B" HEPA filters that these carbon filters fit over.There are four of these per box, yet only three are needed per chat in our Holmes HAP 650 cleanser. The cleanser is in use in a converted basement bedroom in the house -- it has a dampness power conundrum, we have the diaper varying table in there, and we own dogs. The evidence is clear every time we chat these filters. Not only is there a lot of dust, dander, pet hair and whatever collected in these, but the smell of the room becomes noticeably stuck-up every filter chat.The main gathering of these filters is to keep the more expensive HEPA filter beneath Holmes HAPF600D from getting stopped up. They can be rinsed out under the faucet, by the way, if you don't mind the hassle of the cleaning and the drying. For us, varying these charcoal pre-filters out ever 3-4 months gives us about a years worth of use on the HEPA filters in the rear them.Substitution is unadorned enough: just open the door, pull out the old pads if they're yucky, and the new ones press into place.My only upset stomach with these are, for the price they're charging, they ought to put six in the box to provide two full changes. But I do appreciate that they keep the HEPA filters free for a full year.

These are nothing be fond of the original filters that I be inflicted including bought at the pile. I shopped online when I couldn't find them at my community supplies. I guess I will search harder next time because I be inflicted including no perception the foundation of these filters....they came in apparent plastic bags...no label, no authentic packaging.

The filters I recieved were not in a Holmes box, just in a plastic bag. The description says "by Holmes". Are these actually Holmes filters?I compared them with approximately Holmes filters I be inflicted with with the intention of came in the Holmes box. These ones with the intention of came in the plastic bag do not be inflicted with baking beverage, even though the description says they do.Secondly, I can see with the intention of the actual carbon material is different. Is it as effective as the 'real' Holmes filter? I don't admit. I would just prefer to admit I am getting the actual Holmes filter.A further funny thing, as I ordered the ones with the intention of came in the box, the description said 'sold by Amazon'. Yet as I go to my orders & click on it, the description says sold by approximately wholesale place. How do I admit but with the intention of they get approximately crappy carbon stuff and cut it to size and sell it as Holmes filters? I don't admit. But I want the strain name Holmes filter with the intention of come in the Holmes box. Seems to be no way to insure with the intention of as ordering off of Amazon.

These are GENUINE Holmes prefilters, they should NOT house a gap almost the edge of the HEPA filter. The gap isn't HUGE, but here is a gap. the homes HAPF60-U3 from this company I got is different from thier picture. no original box packaging, thicker than the original which I think will affect the filter function because it affect the air flow. I will ask for a refund.
